Bath Rug Types

Bath rugs are super-useful things, and one of the benefits of having one is their availability. They come in so many colors and types that each person will have an opportunity to get a bath rug exactly as he/she expects!

In addition, they are available in multiple materials, starting from polyester, bamboo, cotton, and chenille nylon. At the same time, they are the most popular nowadays, of course, there are other materials as well.

So, let’s briefly explain each material so that you can have a better insight regarding them, so that you can choose the one that suits your preferences the most.

Bamboo

These rugs are more focused on improving the aesthetics of your bathroom, and at the same time, they are inexpensive which by default makes them be attractive options for the customers on the market. However, keep in mind that they would not offer you the best comfort since they do not feel soft under your feet. Also, bamboo rugs have excellent absorbing properties which are always welcome.

Polyester

Polyester rugs are known for their durability, and that’s one of the reasons that contribute a lot to their popularity, since nowadays, most of the bathrooms have such rugs. In addition, they are inexpensive as well and are good choices for big families.

Nylon

This type of rug have a strong, slip-resistance, and long life expectancy because of the material, and they do not require a specific maintenance, because the material is known to withstand daily use for a very long period of time.

Chenille

Chenille rugs can be considered as a superb option for extremely wet bathrooms, due to the fact that they wouldn’t get damaged easily, even if they are constantly exposed to huge amounts of water.

Cotton

The cotton bath rugs are one of my favorite types of rugs because they feel soft to touch and are available in a plethora of different designs. However, the only remark I have regarding them is that they will have a relatively short life expectancy from the others, if they are constantly exposed to water. The material will start to wear out, and hence, I would suggest you get one if your bathroom isn’t extremely wet.

Absorbency

As the name suggests, these rugs are designed to ensure proper absorption of the water and have a long life expectancy. Additionally, they are known for preventing mold grown and for their slip-resistance which will drastically lower the risks of accidents that you may encounter.

So, what are the best rugs for bathroom? Well, the most precise answer to this question would be those rugs that suit your preferences the most. Considering the fact that I’ve named the most popular types of bath rugs, it is solely up to you to choose the one or those that you found the most pleasing and suitable for you and your bathroom.

Finally, keep in mind that not every rug type has the same slip-resistance and durability, that’s why, I would recommend you get a bath rug that does really have strong slip-resistance properties, because they will aid your protection a lot, while on the other side, choosing a bath rug that can last for years, should always be your top priority!
