Well, if you think about it, this is actually a fair debate. In some cases, a rain shower head is really worth it, but in some other situations, it’ll sometimes feel like it was an unnecessary investment.
As you may know, rain shower heads stand out from the other types of showerheads on the market not only in terms of price, but they also come with more advanced features and functionalities, which we’ll mention in a bit.
Firstly, a rain shower head will really enhance the overall appearance of your bathroom, while in other terms, it’s going to amaze everyone who sees it for the first time and it’s going to be the center of attention most of the time.
Secondly, a rain shower head is designed in a unique way which can provide you with real rain-alike experience, it provides you with a gentle shower which you’ll really enjoy.
This type of showerhead is usually installed on the ceiling of your shower, but nowadays there are other models available that can be installed on the sidewall where your current head probably sits.
Before purchasing a rain shower head, you have to take into consideration how much free space you have in your bathroom since they come oversized, often square or rectangular with an approximate size of 8″ to 10″ wide.
Most of the time people compare the pressure of rain shower heads with the pressure of Low-Flow Shower Heads, and that’s true for the most part, but don’t let that fool you, a rain showerhead will consume much more water than a low-flow showerhead would, so in other terms, they are not quite eco-friendly as you would think.
The best rain shower heads differentiate with the other types of showerheads on the market based on way that they produce the water spray, more precisely, unlike regular showerheads which produce a steady spray of water aimed towards your upper body, rainfall showerheads flow water down over the top of your head, pretty interesting, right?
Now, to get back to what we mentioned in the beginning, rain showerheads tend to come to way more expensive prices than regular showerheads. So, if you’re really into this and you’re really convinced that you want a rain-alike experience when you take a shower, then a rain shower head would be a great choice for you, but if you’re not really sure whether you should make such an investment or not, then I suggest you do a bit more research about it.
Nonetheless, such shower heads are used in luxury resorts and luxury hotels, but again, before purchase, make sure you talk to your plumber to see if a rain showerhead can fit in your current bathroom.
