Well, let’s keep it simple for now, sure, you should get a soaking tub, but how much are you willing to pay though?
Soaking tubs are the perfect way of making a bathroom look luxurious, while that’s not the only benefit that comes along, soaking tubs are known for their way of providing relaxation and comfort for users.
Unlike other tubs on the market, the best soaking bathtubs out there have overflow features that keep the water from accidentally spilling out over the tub, while on the other hand, they are the deepest of the other tubs.
The most premium models also come with special overflow drain which allows for greater water depth with a regular tub, so basically it allows you to close the overflow yourself.
Considering the water measurements, a minimum size soaking tub has a size of 14 to 15 inches of water depth. However, this is not always the case since Japanese soaking tubs offer more than 22 inches deep, but deeper is not always better, well for some it might be, but not for everyone.
There are a few things you should consider before buying a soaking tub, first, does your home have the heating ability to keep an ultra-deep soaking tub warm? Second, does your bathroom has the space to fit a soaking tub, because they can vary greatly in size, so if you have a spacious bathroom, you’ll be good to go, otherwise, I highly suggest you consult with your bathroom designer.
Soaking bathtubs nowadays come in a variety of design, which is great because you can always find the one that matches your bathroom the most, but no matter what you choose, it will still look very luxurious. There are those oval soaking bathtubs, while there are also slipper-shaped soaking tubs and double-ended drop-in styles.
Now, to answer the popular question, should you get a soaking tub or not, you’ll have to decide on your own because I don’t really know your budget or how spacious your bathroom is because you might end up with additional costs and redesigns in your bathroom.
However, if you are really serious about getting one, and you really want to enjoy the relaxation and the comfort that such tubs provide, then go ahead, a soaking tub will truly do all of that. If you have the budget for it, then why not.
All and all, I really think you’ll enjoy the experience of being deeper than usual in a tub, it’s highly recommended medically as well, mostly due to the chromatherapy that premium tubs offer.
