Water filter pitchers are one of the most popular methods for water filtration due to the fact that they are pretty convenient and very easy to use. As you know, filtration is very important, in fact, it’s the most essential thing for a good water filter, while many such pitchers can improve drinking water and your health.
However, saying just words can easily disappoint you, so you have to try them yourself, or maybe ask someone who owns one.
As a start, one advantage that pitcher filters have is simplicity, and the best water filter pitchers out there come in an easy-to-use design for hassle-free maintenance, which is something we all want, right?
As we said, a water filter pitcher will conveniently fill your glass with filtered water, however, there’s something that caught my attention while doing my research. Many users were claiming that they had to wait too long for the water to filter, but that’s not the case nowadays since many manufacturers have created different designs for fast operation and filtering.
Anyhow, from my experience, I’ve had to wait too long with the most effective pitchers due to the fact that they try to deliver the best results, which means that they give water adequate contact time with the filter media.
So, when you choose a filter pitcher filtration should be your biggest consideration, while on the other hand, if a pitcher doesn’t pour well look for another option. If you have done your research, then you probably know that design flaws are the most common complaints about pitchers, so first, you need to test a pitcher’s functionality to see if it’s comfortable to handle, how it pours and what additional features does it have.
Take in mind that a pitcher filter will not purify your water, but it will improve the quality of pre-treated drinking water, while despite the popular belief that water pitchers reduce bacteria, during my testing I wasn’t able to sufficiently get good results on more serious large-scale drinking water concerns.
However, I’m not an expert on this so don’t take my testing too seriously, but from what I’ve gathered, this is what I can say.
Pitcher filters also contain a carbon core and it’s the perfect way to treat chlorine taste and odor. As it is common for all of us, we immediately judge the taste of water and is subjective most of the time.
So, I also noticed a question on the internet, do water filter pitchers make water taste better? And the answer is yes, but it all depends on your palette because different pitchers will provide you with different tastes.
Overall, a water filter pitcher is a must-have, and if you want to improve the quality of your water at home, then this would be your ideal choice.
